A “wanderlust” at heart, Kate ventured off to spend 6+ months exploring Europe at an early age.  To this day she assembles itineraries and creates unique experiences for family, friends and clients.  Her adventurous spirit remains at her core, from 100’ scuba depths to 14,000’ jumps (out of a perfectly good airplane). She finds serenity in her own backyard in her garden. Kate’s guilty pleasures are spending time with her family, wine, skiing, and adding to an overflowing bucket list.

Take in a Flamenco Show

The Clarendon Hotel has a free flamenco show in the lobby Wednesday nights.

Shopping in the Foothills of the Tucson Mountains

Top off a morning hike at Sabino Canyon with a cool treat from locally established Frost Gelato Shoppe at La Encantada Mall. OK fine, sometimes I skip the hike and go straight to Frost!

Take Me Out to the Ballgame

Catch a Diamondbacks game at Chase Field.

Attend University of Arizona Athletic Events

Go Wildcats! With UofA located near the heart of the newly renovated Tucson downtown district, the best way to take in a game is to try out some of the new hot spots before and after and feel the energy from the fans!

Soak up the Sun

Soothe your spirit, refresh your mind and count your blessings – you’re in Arizona, soak it all in!

Shopping

Indulge in the new UNION shops at the Biltmore.

Top places to eat

Z’ Tejas

The ever popular 6th Street Margarita, “Z”tini and Chambord Margaritas at Happy Hour!

Four Peaks Brewery

Arguably the best local brewery in Arizona! Peach Ale is light and refreshing and Pumpkin Porter is a seasonal favorite! Fun, bustling atmosphere during happy hour, but half-off beers make it worth-the-wait.

The Mission

Best table-side guacamole and pork street tacos! We feel hip in this modern ambiance with fresh, unique cocktails and a variety of tequilas to sample!

Va Benne

Always “delizioso”! – and our hearts melt with happiness when the waiter provides us with a black napkin!

Postino

Three Words. Hip. Happening. Bruschetta (Okay four – Yum).

El Chorro

Stick. Y. Buns. That’s right, put ‘em all together and you have the most divine treat known to mankind. Sit on the patio with views of Camelback Mountain at sunset and enjoy a taste of heaven.

Culinary Drop Out

Try the pretzel buns, they are to die for!

The Arrogant Butcher

The pretzel bites with beer cheese are a MUST!

Mastro’s City Hall

The “Seafood Tower” appetizer can’t be missed – fresh fish stunningly arranged and presented on a dry ice fog induced platter.

Sol Mexican Cocina

Nachos Dulces are worth every calorie!

The Vig

Vigitude – that unique Vig hipness factor that will have you challenging strangers to a fun game on the Bocce Ball Court over an icy cold beverage.

The Parlor Pizzeria

Once an old school barber shop and beauty parlor, now some of the BEST Pizza in Phoenix!

Café Poca Cosa, Tuscon

A little bit of suspense with dinner! The Chef’s Plate surprises you with 3 different menu items for sharing and tasting.

Wildflower, Tuscon

The food, the drinks, the décor, and even the bathrooms are gorgeous here! With a seasonal menu, you can continuously try new items and fall in love all over again.

Downtown Kitchen & Cocktails, Tuscon

Chef Janos Wilder is a Tucson legend with a personality as vibrant as his food. Be sure to go in summer to try his “around the world” menus featuring cuisine from different global regions each month. Must have item: the Cuban Sunset cocktail!
