Big Ben to the Big Easy – Direct Flights from Heathrow to New Orleans

New Orleans has always been an amalgam of cultures, with its mix of French, African, Spanish and Caribbean flightpersonalities that makes this destination so uniquely its own. Perhaps that is why international travelers are flocking to New Orleans these days. New Orleans is leading the US with a 37% growth of international travelers in 2015! And with a new announcement by British Airways, traveling to the birthplace of jazz, beignets, and the sazerac has gotten that much easier for those throughout Europe.

Beginning on March 27, 2017 British Airways will offer nonstop flights between Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport (MSY) and London Heathrow Airport (LHR) four times a week. These flights open up a whole new market for the cities and AlliedPRA New Orleans is excited to welcome a new portfolio of visitors to their destination. AlliedPRA New Orleans President, Jeff O’Hara, had this to say regarding the new flights going in and out of MSY, “New Orleans has always been a lively and cultural destination, but half the battle with our international clients is finding a convenient flight that fits their schedule. With nonstops between Heathrow and Louis Armstrong, this opens up the UK Incentive market and creates options for all of Europe to experience the magic of New Orleans.”

The flight patterns themselves will depart London at 3:40 p.m. and arrive in New Orleans at 7:40 p.m. local time. The flight from New Orleans will depart at 9:10 p.m. arriving in London at 12:00 noon the next day. These flights will be offered four times a week and hosted on British Airways state-of-the-art Boeing 787-800 Dreamliner, which accommodates 214 customers across three cabins, with 154 seats in World Traveler (economy), 25 seats in World Traveler Plus (premium economy) and 35 seats in Club World (business). All riders enjoy free meals, beverages and a free checked bag. This transatlantic opportunity has guests’ experience, budget, and comfort in mind at every step of the way.
