DMC Industry Expert, Simon Burleigh named Director of Global Sales for AlliedPRA, United Kingdom

LONDON – July 1st, 2013 – AlliedPRA, Inc. a global leader in the destination management company (DMC) sector, announced today that sales and marketing expert, Simon Burleigh has been named Director of Global Sales UK for AlliedPRA. Positioned as a key addition to the AlliedPRA Global Sales team, Burleigh will drive strategic sales efforts and client development within the growing UK market, focusing on supporting valued clients whilst helping expand business opportunities into AlliedPRA’s vast global destinations.

Burleigh’s industry experience includes seven years working for key event agencies including McGarvey Russell, Universal CIT and Grass Roots in event planning departments before a subsequent role with Avenue Sales & Marketing, managing the Corinthia Hotels account for four years. Simon then managed accounts as Sales Manager for MM and Company, representing DMCs in 30 destinations worldwide for the past three years. “It is a great opportunity for me to be joining AlliedPRA as they enter an exciting new phase of growth. I am looking forward to playing my part in helping to further develop the UK conference and incentive market for our colleagues in EMEA and the US,” says Burleigh.

Burleigh graduated from the University of Northumbria with a degree in Travel and Tourism Management. He is married with two young children and when he can tear himself away from work, he loves nothing more than finding an epic mountain bike trail or having a hard game of squash.
