According to the publication, “The act of motivating an individual or group to engage in behavior that will benefit both themselves and the organization they work for, partner with, or purchase products from, is the core of a dynamic, ever-advancing industry with worldwide impact. There is an army of dedicated professionals across the globe that makes this industry possible. This is why Incentive Magazine created an annual list to recognize 25 individuals who have contributed to the advancement of the motivation industry, or made it easier for motivation professionals to do their jobs. Dornfeld has enthusiastically dedicated over 30 years to the Destination Management and Incentive industry she is passionate about serving. She has helped lead the SITE Foundation’s research rebirth, supporting the case for how incentive travel drives business results through SITE’s educational opportunities, industry research, and industry advocacy, while collaborating with other strategic industry partners. Dornfeld has spent much of her career working to cultivate leaders in the industry, and this year AlliedPRA started its own Young Leaders Program and Mentorship Program. She has been an instrumental part of the success of the AlliedPRA organization, continuing to position the company as leading force within the industry.
“I’ve been fortunate to be exposed, early in my career, to the incentive travel market as a local member of SITE SoCal and thus cultivated a true excitement for this industry. When I took an active role in the SITE SoCal chapter, the local involvement ignited a passion in me for the International SITE Foundation Board, which resulted in me being named the 2016 SITE Foundation President,” shared Dornfeld. “Through this experience we have accomplished amazing work for the incentive market and those who actively participate in its influential role within the hospitality space. I’m most proud of how we imparted education and research for young professionals with the Young Leaders Program, so much so that I brought it to AlliedPRA as an internal program. It has been a tremendous honor to help drive education and mentorship through this important SITE organization, helping shape its future within this sector.”
An industry and community leader, Dornfeld holds active memberships and volunteers her time on numerous boards and committees, serving as the President of the SITE Foundation’s Board of Trustees, SITE SoCal Chapter, FICP, MPI and the Association of Destination Management Executives International (ADMEI). In addition, she serves as a committee member for the Girl Scouts Urban Campout annual fundraising event. She has shared her event planning and fundraising savvy and a network of partners to create signature nonprofit events for various charities. She believes one of the tenants of leadership is a responsibility to give back to the community and industry which has generated tremendous personal fulfillment and an unparalleled opportunity to grow and succeed. Her motto has always been, “teach who you touch to create an atmosphere of engagement.”
