SAN DIEGO, Calif., January 14, 2015 – AlliedPRA Inc., a global leader in the destination management company (DMC) sector, is pleased to share the exciting news that eight of its offices have been named as finalists for the prestigious Association of Destination Management Executives International (ADMEI) 2015 Achievement Awards according to Fran Rickenbach, CAE, IOM, Executive Vice President of ADME. With a large number of entries and fierce field of competition, the AlliedPRA system came out on top with a record number of finalists. The winners will be announced on Saturday February 14, 2015 at the Fiesta Americana Grand in Los Cabos, Mexico.
The AlliedPRA offices in the finals include: AlliedPRA Atlanta– “Going the Extra Mile” for Best Creative Events – Corporate Social Responsibility, AlliedPRA Las Vegas – “International Innovation Customer Reception” – Best Innovative Events $50,000-$100,000, AlliedPRA New Orleans – “The Outlet Collection at Riverwalk Grand Opening” – Best Innovative Events above $500,000, and AlliedPRA New York – “Partners in Creativity: Science & the Arts” – Best Innovative Events $200,000- $500,000. In addition, the following AlliedPRA offices were named in the Excellence Award categories: AlliedPRA Atlanta, AlliedPRA Dallas | Fort Worth, AlliedPRA New England and AlliedPRA Northern California. This marks the 9th consecutive year AlliedPRA has been recognized by ADMEI with finalists in the ADMEI Achievement Awards.

In the Best Creative Events category, AlliedPRA Atlanta submitted the “Going the Extra Mile” entry showcasing a program where employees of an automotive company shifted into high-gear during a community service project organized by AlliedPRA. The program involved successfully completing 10 various school improvement projects in two and one half hours with the hard work of 175 attendees. From murals and inspirational quotes to new playground equipment, the schools were transformed; it was demonstrated what is possible when pre-planning meets hard work, and everyone goes the extra mile.
The AlliedPRA Las Vegas team entered “International Innovation Customer Reception” for the Best Innovative Events $50,000- $100,000 category, which featured a three-hour customer appreciation event to tie in to an international theme. The Chateau Beer Gardens with a view of the Bellagio Fountains was the perfect backdrop for an international reception, complete with international food stations, passport décor, wine table games and entertainment.
For the Best Innovative Events above $500,000 AlliedPRA New Orleans submitted– “The Outlet Collection at Riverwalk Grand Opening”, the first development of its kind in the US, featured a five-day grand opening event organized by AlliedPRA. Each day included a custom theme, beginning with the grand reveal ribbon cutting ceremony, followed by a fashion show, the Taste of the Riverwalk with an interactive Crawfish Bowl, a family fun day and concluded with an outdoor movie night and grand fireworks extravaganza- to bring the memorable programs to a close. In all, over 100,000 guests experienced the grand opening events over the five-day period.
The AlliedPRA New York – “Partners in Creativity: Science & the Arts” – Best Innovative Events $200,000- $500,000 program was designed to showcase the complexity of the human brain taking the worlds of art and science and essentially blending them into one universe. The black-tie reception included presentations by influential scientists, interspersed with choreographed dance performances by world-renowned dancers, designed to bring presentation topics to life. The goal of the event was to showcase the scientific advances made by the client, while thanking the valued supporters of the institution.
In addition to the specific award categories, four AlliedPRA offices were named finalists in the Excellence Award categories, including AlliedPRA Atlanta, AlliedPRA Dallas/Fort Worth, AlliedPRA New England and AlliedPRA Northern California. At the heart of thee Excellence Awards are professionalism, commitment to best practices and high standards of excellence, combined with creativity, skill ingenuity and intuitiveness. The finalists displayed positive effects on the client’s program, as well as innovative, program-based solutions that serve as a model for others to follow.
The 2015 ADMEI Achievement Awards winners are chosen through an online voting system, where a panel of judges selects their top choice from virtual story boards presented by the finalists in each category. The 2015 ADMEI Achievement Award Winners will be announced at the annual conference in Los Cabos, Mexico on February 14th.
