LONDON — February 8, 2012 – AlliedPRA Destination Management, a global leader in the destination management company (DMC) sector, has announced a number of senior appointments which will bring new leadership to the company, as well as further sales and operational expertise. New managing directors have been appointed in the UK, Florida and Monaco as AlliedPRA assembles new leadership to drive forward business growth over the coming years.
Leo Platt has been appointed managing director of AlliedPRA in the UK. Most recently, Leo headed the business tourism team at Marketing Manchester, the tourist board for Greater Manchester, which was responsible for a range of meetings, incentives, conventions and exhibitions (MICE) events. Leo was instrumental to the city’s rise in the International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA) rankings of the world’s most successful business tourism destinations.
Leo’s role at AlliedPRA will be to lead the UK team and lend his operational and sales expertise to take the company to the next stage in its development. He will be based in London.
Karine Berberian has been promoted to managing director of the Monaco office. Karine has spent 20 years with AlliedPRA as director of operations and was recently managing director of AlliedPRA in France. Karine has already reorganised the sales team in Monaco and recruited key individuals to complement the existing operational team.
Olivier Vallariello has been named sales project manager in Monaco office. He began his career at the Meridien Beach Plaza Hotel in Monaco becoming sales and group coordinator in 2008, and he was banquet and conference operation manager at the Intercontinental Hotel in Geneva until joining AlliedPRA. He will work alongside Karine in delivering high quality programmes for clients in Monaco.
Rachelle Stone became vice president of the Florida office in July 2011, bringing to completion the assembly of a new leadership team across the AlliedPRA international offices.
George Pohle, CEO of AlliedPRA stated: “We have ambitious growth plans for the company over the next few years. With the right talent in place, we will be in the best position to offer clients unrivalled quality and service. It is with great pleasure I welcome Leo to the new AlliedPRA family, whose impressive event management expertise will be an asset to the company. Equally, I’m delighted that Karine has taken the helm in Monaco given her pivotal role in the company’s growth over recent years.
